DISCLAIMER: I'm honored to be a Top 10 Reviewer for Google. I do my best to be fair and honest but realize your experience may differ from mine. So, please keep that in mind when considering this restaurant, establishment, and/or venue. MY REVIEW: My husband and I ate at Blue Plate Cafe for the first time today. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak dinner, which came with a salad and two sides (I opted for mashed potatoes and okra). The salad was fresh but nothing special. But the rest of my meal was very good. The meat was tender and wasn't a small piece smothered in batter. The batter was tasty and appropriately balanced with the meat. My husband ordered the Chili Burger and said it was delicious. He's very picky about chili but commented that, for him, it was better than Goldie's and Ron's chili. It must have been good for him to say that about it. We went during lunch hour and had a short wait to get a table, but it was worth it. Our waitress was friendly and good for the most part. We had to wait on refills a couple times but they were busy. We'll definitely go back to this restaurant. Every "blue" plate that passed our table was piled with delicious-looking food.

This is a great breakfast/lunch spot in Broken Arrow. Good sized menu, from classic breakfast options to skillets to breakfast burritos and chicken and waffles. So far I’ve had the breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito, both excellent. The hashbrowns and breakfast potatoes were good, I’d probably request them a tad crispier next time . Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and tidy. Prices are on par with most places.

The American diner and breakfast eateries are cornerstones to Oklahoma. As enjoyable as an up-scale breakfast experience can be, I often prefer to keep my brunch experience to be high in quality and low in price. Thankfully, Tulsa is still home to many straightforward, homestyle establishments such as Blue Plate Café. I had the pleasure of trying BPC for the first time on July 15th (2025) and would proudly refer anyone there based on my experience. On this day, I had a work training nearby and had skipped breakfast. After considering a few places, I am grateful that I decided on Blue Coast Café. I arrived around noon to a decently filled restaurant. The entrance puts you face to face with a host behind the counter. The space was efficiently sized and not bursting with ambiance but I found the simplicity pleasing, reminiscent of a classic straightforward diner. There are framed pictures and fixtures alongside both the bright red and pale blue walls providing guests with a sense of the countryside. Most of the seating is tables with booths along the wall. The host invited me to sit wherever so I sat almost exactly in the middle of the restaurant since about every other table was emplty. My server’s name was Heather, 1 of 2 waitresses at the time. She gave me a tall 5-page menu that left me very impressed. Not only are there plenty of food options (breakfast choices, lunch options and everything in between) but the physical menu itself was well designed: large pages, balanced wording, simple colors and very easy to navigate. Mostly everything on the menu seemed good (perhaps because I was hungry) but I ordered a hot tea and Smoked Sausage Skillet and swapped the B&G/Toast/pancake for french toast. There was only tea choice (Lipton, Black) that came out almost immediately. After returning from washing my hands (wishing I would’ve brought a book), I listened to the rustle of the restaurant and chatter of the patrons as I drank the tea waited for the meal. Coworkers, families and older married couples convened. It was comforting. The food arrived within 15mins of ordering. The skillet looked mildly appealing: scrambled eggs on top, the cheese was next, all on a bed of crumbled sausage and veggies. Though the cheese wasn’t 100% melted, the plate completely filled with food. I couldn’t resist! I added salt & pepper and began mashing the ingredients together. It was a delightful assortment of flavors and consistencies. The French toast wasn’t mind blowing but definitely better than average. Heather made sure the syrup was hot and condiments (salsa & ketchup) were brought. 10/10 meal, hunger satisfied! As I sat, appreciative of the satiating meal, Heather came to inform me that my meal was paid for! My head swirled around the restaurant to guess who it was but Heather didn’t reveal who or why. I was even more grateful that I came! I walked away in awe and returned with cash to tip Heather. So unfortunately I don’t know how much the meal was but I’ll say that great folks work and dine at this restaurant and I’ll rave about my experience for years.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful breakfast! Our server, Zoe,was completely in tune with what we wanted; refills were offered at the right time without having to flag someone down…. maybe the best service anticipation we’ve ever been treated to. She was friendly, helpful and wonderfully polite. The food portions were massive, tasty and very fairly priced. We had the Popeye and everything omelettes and they were DELICIOUS! The pancakes were a complimentary “side” and were done perfectly. This is our new breakfast “go-to”!

First time trying this breakfast spot and was not disappointed at all! I started with a cup of fresh tasting coffee and my husband got some sweet tea, he likes his sweet tea on the super sweet side and said theirs was really good. For breakfast I had the Southern Blue Plate Stack and my husband had the Blue Plate Early Morning Classic Chicken Fried Steak. Was not disappointed at all! The food came out hot and big portions, I ended up having to take half of mine home. The only complaint was my husband said the breading on his chicken fried steak was coming off super easy instead of being stuck together. This is definitely going to be added to our list of places to go for more breakfast dates!

I stopped by Blue Plate Cafe with colleagues before heading to the airport after a couple days in Broken Arrow. Their menu included many selections all of which sounded great. I chose the Southern Blue Plate Stack. What a meal that was. Great portion size for the money. Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food, service and atmosphere.

We almost decided to do our regular lunch date at the Pho restaurant a few doors down. But then we decided to try out Blue Plate Cafe for the first time. I am glad we did. The menu has a lot of items offered so it was hard to choose. I selected a deluxe waffle, it's supposed to come with 2 eggs, hash browns and link sausages. The scrambled eggs seemed more like 4, the hash browns were too much and the waffle is really good with a slight taste of cinnamon. They give you blueberry compote. The wife got one of the skillets with potatoes, over easy eggs, 4 chicken strips, and a biscuit that's so soft and fluffy! Her plate was covered with gravy and chopped green onions. As shown in my pictures, you get a huge amount of food. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and our waitress took good care of us. We definitely enjoyed our meal and will be back!
